Green tea is my favorite type of tea. First of all, I would like to say that this tea smells absolutely amazing! I love the smell of green tea. This tea smells very fresh. I have regular Sencha green tea I bought from somewhere else, and I can tell Teasenz, Long Jing is the better quality green tea.
Health Benefits of Green Tea:
- Antioxidants-helps remove free radicals from the body
- Acts as a diuretic-flushes the body of toxins
- Boosts immunity-helps fight colds
- Healthy skin-tones muscles, helps prevent sun damage
- Reduces risk of heart disease
- Helps boost metabolism
Looking at this list, now it suddenly makes sense that people don’t believe how old I am, why I hardly get sick, and why I never seem to gain weight. Some of that is genetics too of course, but I know regularly drinking tea also helps. I have been drinking green tea for a long time now and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. Just like white tea, it tastes great and provides so many benefits!
It’s nice to take a break from the day and relax with a cup of tea. This is my third sample tea I received from Teasenz, and once again I’m delighted by the results. This is a well-balanced green tea and isn’t too bitter. It could be sweetened slightly for those that prefer a sweeter taste, but I always like drinking my tea traditionally. This would also make good iced tea. I brewed this tea for 2 minutes. With green tea it’s mostly suggested you steep for 1-2 minutes, but I always brew my green tea for 2 minutes. On the Teasenz website they recommend 2-3 minutes. I had this tea in the afternoon and steeped it again in the evening for 2 and a half minutes. The second steep was just as good as the first.
