On Saturday I was able to attend my first Civic Center Crit. What an extremely hot day it was, but it was still a lot of fun just to be a part of the experience and the crowd. While Rafael got video for Leader Bikes, I was there to mostly get a few behind the scene shots with the beautiful Fujifilm x100T. I will never get over how great this camera is.
It was really nice to meet more new people and be there supporting the cyclists. It takes a lot of passion and dedication to take part in any race, or as to quote Wolfpack Hustle, “This is NOT a race. This is a hustle,” and especially in the heat. I admire each and every person that takes part in these types of sporting events. It’s also really cool to see how supportive they are of each other as well.

At the end of the day, Rafael and I were both pretty exhausted. We ended up enjoying some ramen and hanging out with friends afterwards. What a wonderful day! Be sure to stay tuned for Rafael’s video of the race, which I will most likely link here once it’s ready. I hope everyone enjoys their week!
