On Sunday Rafael and I finally went exploring at the old abandoned LA Zoo at Griffith Park with a few friends. It was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. I’ve always really loved exploring abandoned places, but I never come across very many. Many people know about this place though, and there’s a lot of graffiti all over the place, but that’s to be expected. It was in the mid 80’s and of course I was wearing all black, and I had to do a little bit of climbing to get to the location of these photos, but it was all worth it and I survived. After all, I have climbed Vasquez Rocks wearing heeled boots before. Long legs and arms really pay off in the end.
As always I am keeping the look very minimal, except I actually have a little pattern with the shorts and the polka dot tights. I love how the contrast of the environment brings this all black ensemble a little bit more to life. I’m wearing a thrifted Forever 21 black sheer blouse that’s a size too big for me, but I love how flowy it is. I tied it with a hair tie for this look. I really love button-up blouses or dresses. I am a big fan of buttons and collars. For once I am wearing shorts paired with tights. I don’t usually pair the two together, but I wanted to try something different. Considering it’s still slightly warm out, it works. The crochet-knit shorts are by Macy’s brand, American Rag.
Have an amazing day!
