If you’re in L.A., then chances are you’ve been around Melrose Avenue or Melrose Place before. If you’re in the mood to shop for rarities or eat extravagant food, then definitely check it out. If you’re craving coffee or tea, you can stop by Alfred Coffee & Kitchen or Alfred Tea Room. I remember first hearing about Alfred Tea Room a year or two ago, and always seeing photos of bloggers holding up their Alfred tea to the pastel pink tile walls of the tea shop, in a designated area painted with clever little play on words that read like, I love you so matcha, or Can’t we all just get oolong! I am a tea lover, but I just never found the time to stop by. Then suddenly I heard about Alfred Coffee because of Instagram’s @Minnistyle #rockthedots event going on. Now they had my attention. I like tea, but I LOVE coffee. And of course I love Minnie Mouse!
The outside of Alfred Coffee & Kitchen is clearly a sight for sore eyes, so of course once inside, I was immediately drawn to the entire look and feel of the place. This is definitely a very aesthetic and cozy coffee shop. There is also indoor and outdoor seating.
For the entire month of January, Alfred Coffee is giving away limited edition Minnie Mouse coffee sleeves. They are so adorable! There are four different styles you can collect. Alfred Coffee and Kitchen is separate from the tea room. Because of the #rockthedots event (National Polka Dot Day is January 22nd!), Minnie Mouse murals are painted at several of the shops! I believe the mural locations are only Studio City, Silver Lake, and of course Melrose. And they are giving out the sleeves at all the coffee locations. Locations here.
Our friend Will stopped by and then it turned into a super artsy-hipster photo shoot. Because why not?!
