It’s been a busy week thus far and I am finally finding the time to share a bunch of photos on this blog! Of course, the title of this post was inspired by “Walking in L.A.” by Missing Persons since it happened to be playing on my 80’s playlist when I was working on the rest of these photos. Ha! Ironically she sings, “Nobody walks in L.A.” Well honey, I’ve got news for you, because this lady right here walks plenty in L.A.!

I love when people can be real and don’t focus so much on perfection.
I don’t really take outfit posts as much anymore but here are some recent photos from last month. I can’t believe there was a time when I wanted to actually be a fashion blogger. I eventually realized that the market is so oversaturated and many fashion bloggers are one-dimensional and hardly show you their true personality. Now I’m not saying this applies to all fashion bloggers, but the majority. There are actually some really amazing fashion bloggers out there that actually talk about important issues as well and aren’t afraid to be their true selves.
I love when people can be real and don’t focus so much on perfection. I also don’t like the consumer side that most fashion bloggers adopt. I get some of it makes them money, but as someone who worked in retail for five years, I can’t spend my whole life being someone that tries to sell, sell, sell, and act like it’s supposed to make your life 10x better as long as you just give me and these brands your money. In the end, it becomes this cycle of vanity. I love fashionistas that have a unique style and keep it real more than keep it sponsored. If that makes sense.
On another note, this year has been treating me well and I have so much planned! Work is good and keeping me on my toes. I am so close to finally getting my B.A. in Creative Writing! I haven’t been able to write as much this year yet but I’m hoping to expand my writing on Medium again soon. I still don’t feel as confident in my writing and because I’m a big overthinker, I sometimes feel self-conscious or doubt myself as a writer. That is something I really want to work on this year. After all, I didn’t go back to school to get my Creative Writing degree for nothing!!
I started a fantasy novel last year. I’m a much bigger nerd than many of you think. Probably. It does have some political aspects in it, and of course, there’s romance (duh, romantic at heart here), and it’s about following your heart and having the courage to stand up for your beliefs and taking the risks to follow through with creating positive change. And that’s all I’ll say.
